Demographics and social grading

Demographics are the measurable characteristics of media consumers such as age, gender, race, education and income level.

It's important that do things that are appropriate to your target audience. For example if it was targeted at grade A you could advertise instruments they could buy where as if it was grade E you would show competitions where they could win the instruments because they wouldn't have the money to buy them.
The group I will aim to create my magazine for will be mainly D. Young adults (students) who may not have jobs so wont be earning much money. This means I will have to keep the language very simple so it can be understood and I will have to include things that will attract to my target audience.
